How tips work.

What fans send

$5, $10 or $20 at a time, up to $25 from one fan in any 7 days. Fans sign in to tip, so every tip is from a real person.

What you keep

Every tip pays Stripe’s card fee and DamnReal’s 10%. You keep the rest.

Shown with a US card (2.9% + 30¢). Stripe’s real fee is read from each payment, and cards from outside the US cost a little more.

When you get paid

• Every FridayEverything that’s ready goes out in one payment to your Stripe account. Stripe moves it to your bank, usually within 2 business days.
• First payout waits 7 daysYour first tip is held for 7 days. After that, tips are ready for the next Friday.
• $10 minimumUnder $10 after costs, it rolls to the next Friday. Nothing is lost.
• No instant cash-outOne payday a week, for everyone. It keeps costs down and keeps money safe.

Payout costs

Stripe charges for each payout: 0.25% + 25¢, plus $2 in any month you get paid. They come off that payout, so what lands is what’s yours.

Refunds and disputes

If a fan’s payment is refunded or disputed, that tip comes off what you’re owed. If it was already paid out, it comes back out of your Stripe balance.

Taxes

Stripe may send you a tax form for what you earn. Your taxes are yours to handle.
